Renault SA partners with Gang of Instrumentals

Late in 2007 Renault South Africa and Gang of Instrumentals (GI) joined forces, marking the collaboration between two dynamic and
forward-thinking brands.

Both brands have carved a niche in the South African market and have very defined goals mapped out, with a shared target audience and a common lifestyle orientation.

Renault, an International Motor Manufacturer, has a strong focus on quality and growth, and the recent Press Announcement in November of 2007 around imminent local vehicle production in 2009, as well as the recent revelation that the Formula 1 Roadshow will return to SA through the partnership between the ING Renault F1 Team and the Gauteng Provincial Government, are both strong indicators of Renault's very definite local commitment.

GI, a local Music group, came into being in 2004, and in 3 short years have
become a well-renowned local band with increased popularity and recent
International acclaim.

Both brands are extremely driven and have distinctive Marketing approaches
embodying their own signature flair.

Although a partnership has been on the cards since the inception of GI, the
1 st natural opportunity for formalization presented itself with the band's 2007/8 summer-scorcher “Shake it!”, which also happens to be the “signature” for the ever-popular Megane Hatch vehicle, renowned for its distinct styling and unusual rear.

The 1 st joint project involved the production of a vibey ‘Shake It!' Music Video, showcasing very energetic dancers and the trendy Shake It! model.

This Music Video is due to be officially released in the 1 st part of 2008, but has already received significant airplay and Media attention.

2008 marks very exciting plans for both Renault and GI, and presents amazing opportunities for progression of the established partnership to the mutual benefit of both brands.
